REMINDERS FOR TWO EVENTS:
Legislators representing Anne Arundel County will hold a public
hearing on the state's new Common Core Curriculum on Tuesday, January 28.
Interim schools Superintendent Mamie J. Perkins and Henry Johnson of the
state Department of Education will give a presentation at the meeting at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be in the Joint Hearing Room in the Legislative
Services Building, 90 State Circle. Free parking is available after 6 p.m. in
the Bladen Street Garage.
Save the Date: Maryland PTA Legislative Night in Annapolis,
Thursday,February 13th, 5 – 8 p.m., Room 170, Maryland House of
Delegates, 6 Bladen Street. Remember to bring a photo ID and allow time
to go through security before entering the building.
