In addition to the items you can bid on if you attend the Italian Dinner, you can bid on the following three items below via e-mail if you can not attend the dinner. Bids will be accepted via e-mail (batespta.auction@gmail.com) from 8 pm on Thursday February 21st until 8:15 pm on Friday February 22nd, the end of the auction. Essentially, if you send a bid via e-mail, we will transfer it to the bid sheet at the auction. We will also post the current bids as they are made at the auction or via e-mail on this page so you know how much to bid. See the fine print below for more details.

The fine Print: Bates Online Bidding Rules
The purpose of the Bates Online Bidding Option is to enable bidding by people who cannot attend the Bates Italian Dinner. The Bidding Option will be conducted using the Bates PTA Web Site (www.batespta.org) and e-mail. The process is as follows:
1. Items will be posted at http://www.batespta.org/p/auction.html along with descriptions of the items and current bid.
2. Interested bidders should view the web site prior to bidding to see the value of the current bid. Minimum bid increments are $5.
3. E-mail bids will be accepted from Thursday, February 21 at 8 pm to Friday, February 22 at 8:15pm.

Bids will be accepted via email sent to batespta.auction@gmail.com For the purposes of this auction, the timestamp OF THE DATE/TIME IT WAS RECEIVED BY THE BATES PTA AUCTION E-MAIL ACCOUNT is the official date/time. Bates PTA will not consider any other timestamps in the e-mail. Bates PTS is not responsible for any delay or loss in transmission. Bids with received timestamps before the online bidding start or after the online bidding end will not be accepted under any circumstances.
4. During the online bidding, the bates PTA auction e-mail account will send an email acknowledging your bid. This is an automated email sent as a courtesy to let you know that your email was received. It is just a courtesy and does not in any way indicate that your bid was successful. Failure by Bates PTA to send you or you to receive the automated email will not affect the auction in any way.
5. Between Thursday, February 21 8 pm and Friday, February 22 8:15pm, the web site will be updated with the current bid amounts. We will endeavor to update the website as close to real time as practical, especially during the last few hours of the auction in order to assure the web site reflects the current bid. We will show the bidding history. However, bids received that are less than the current bid will not be shown in the history.
6. Please include your real name and telephone number in (at least) your first bid e-mail so we can correlate e-mail addresses with real people. Failure to include your real name and telephone number in at least one e-mail will result in your disqualification even if you are the highest bidder.
7. Please include the word "BID" in the subject followed by the name of the item to help us easily keep track of the bids. For example:

8. Once the auction concludes, the winner(s) will be contacted to arrange for payment and transfer of goods/services. Payment can be made via Credit Cards, Check to "Bates PTA" or Cash. Bates PTA is a 501(c)(3) so your payment is tax deductible.
