2/5 Wed 3 pm girls running club meeting for interested parents!

Join us for a running club meeting, if you can--Wednesday February 5th, 3pm in Bates Media Ctr., 2nd floor.   Or if interested and cannot attend, contact Mitchell McGuiness at otgmitch@comcast.net.  Thanks for your interest!

Calling all Ladies/Moms/Interested Women, who are walkers, runners, involved in fitness or who aspire to be...

We are starting up a Bates Girls Running Club, this semester, and need you!  This is the plan...

Club to start February 10th--goal

Club to be offered on Monday and Thursday, after school, 3-4 pm  Monday will require parent pick-up or car pooling.  Thus. there are buses.
Open to girls in all grades, for any build or athletic ability
Start as walk-run, progress toward the completion of the Bates Arts in Motion 5K, on Saturday, May 3rd.
We expect different athletic levels and will coach accordingly.

We hope this is about more than just exercise.  We hope this builds new friendships allows for encouragement, goal setting and gaining a sense of accomplishment.  It is loosely based on "Girls on the Run", but a little less formal & without any fees.
Teachers will be involved and we hope to have a few area coaches, join us.  But we can't pull it off without parents.  We don't need you at every meeting, but welcome that.  Even if you can only help on a few days, that's great!  We are also looking for one or two, who could offer a little more time to help organize & plan the workouts, with me.
Most of us are in the negative on time.  Look at this as a way to get in your exercise (or warm up) and do something good for our Bates girls.  Your effort will be rewarded.

Please respond, if you can help.  Please encourage any run Moms, that you know.
Join us for a run club meeting, if you can--Wednesday February 5th, 3pm in Bates Media Ctr., 2nd floor.  We will outline the plan and set up a calendar.
Thanks for your time to consider this!
