(What We Need) This Week at Bates!

Quoting a Mid that I transported back to campus last Thursday at school end:  "Boy, there is a lot going on at that school!  My school only had football!"    Indeed there is, young man, and that is a great thing!

Here are some of the "needs" we have at Bates this week:

• Harvest for the Hungry
• Large Milk Cartons (cardboard) or Coffee Cans for Harvest for the Hungry Penny Drive
• Canned/non-perishable Food Drive - there is a contest between the grades for the most collected
• Loose Change - again there is a contest and each homeroom will be collecting for the Drive
• Empty 2 liter bottles by Wednesday for 7th Grade Science (Ms. Smith - room 202)
• Volunteers!  All hands on deck for any time you have between noon - 5pm on Mon, Oct 25 to help unload and sort Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies.  Record sales means record work!
• Event Chairs - we still need some folks to chair or co-chair
• Thanksgiving Parent Involment Lunch - November 18
• Honor Roll Celebrations (quarterly)
• Family Fun Night (tbd - Winter)
• Spaghetti Dinner for the Arts (tbd - February)
