- Jan 18-21: Two-hour early dismissal
- Capital Campaign Committee: Steve Conyer would like to form a group of motivated individuals to fund raise for much needed capital improvements to the school such as the Auditorium improvements (sound, lighting, seating). If you would like to make this sort of impact for the school, please contact Steve (cacconyer@aol.com).
- Spaghetti Dinner for the Arts: This is the primary fundraiser for the Music & Arts programs to give the staff discretionary funding for music, instruments, uniforms, etc. It is a fun, all-inclusive Bates event that combines an inexpensive dinner with a Silent Auction. The date is still TBD but is planned for the end of February. The steering committee will be meeting soon. Please contact Barb Dove (barbdove@hotmail.com) or Mr. Puckett (jdpuckett@aacps.org) if you can help with this event. It will be a task you can complete before the crazy Spring schedule starts!
- Spring 5K: This year will be the 2nd Annual Bates 5K. It is a fundraiser, but we hope to grow this into a Wellness Event that will involve more of the student body and Bates community. Timing is April. If you would like to volunteer for the 5K, please contact Lynn Sullivan (sullyman5@comcast.net).
- Wellness Committee: Mitchell McGuiness and Peri Lane have lots of great things going on in this newly formed committee. One of the projects for the Spring is to create a Wellness Fair (hopefully in conjunction with the 5K). Please contact Mitchell if you can help with this or other fitness activities (otgmitch@comcast.net). Peri is focusing on Nutrition and Healthy Eating.
