African American Parent Involvement Day
Valentine’s Day
The staff, students, and PTA invite all parents and guardians to join their Bates students to view our artistic accomplishments and celebrate Black History Month.
Arts Showcase:
· View Student Art and Integrated Arts Lessons displayed in and around the cafeteria.
· Watch and listen to student performances from music, chorus and dance classes and the Black Saga club.
· See a Powerpoint show: “diorama doors”: decorated doors created by homerooms featuring famous African Americans in the Arts: artists, writers, dancers and musicians.
Lunch with Your student:
· Chicken Patty, Pork Dippers, Pasta, Hot Veggies, Chilled and Fresh Fruit, Salad Bar, Milk
· Tickets for visitors (non-students) must be purchased at the door for $3.50
· Student lunches are regular price ($2.50), paid at the cashier as normal
· If you would like to request a scholarship, please email or send a note to Debbie Gill in the Bates Cafeteria PRIOR to the event (dgill1@aacps.org)

o 6th: 12:25-12:50
o 7th: 11:23 –11:48
o 8th: 10:21-10:46
