In the midst of all the kudos for the amazing music, art, and dance performances at Bates this week, I thought I should share the following THANK YOU from a core curriculum area - Language Arts. PTA parents have been involved in a committee to improve the academic rigor at Bates and writing was identified as an area for improvement. THANK YOU!! Yesterday's workshop was very good. It had strategies that had us amazed at our own improvements in writing by lunch time. All four subject area teachers left with ideas and ways to increase the writing in meaningful ways. So, thank you, PTA, for your generosity.
