Thank you for your support on the Otis Spunkmeyer Fall Fundraiser cookie sales. We collected $33,680 to date with a few orders still being resolved. Last year, we had collected, $35,027.
Per our agreement with Otis Spunkmeyer, the PTA will keep approximately $12,600. We are very pleased with our results and we thank all who sold and purchased cookies. These funds will support our PTA budget which was approved at the September 10th meeting.
Please plan to pickup your cookie orders on October 24th in the Bates MS Cafeteria.
We still have our ongoing PTA fundraisers of collecting Box Tops (collection boxes in the school office and cafeteria) and participating in "free" cash for our school by signing up for the Target, Giant and/or Safeway programs. Directions for those programs follow. Thank you for your new or continued participation.

Please take several minutes to register your grocery cards, credit and debit cards and Target Redcard! It will add up to a lot of free cash for our school! Then give this flyer to a friend, neighbor, relative or co-worker and ask them to do the same! If you would like the school’s Reward Card Coordinator to register your Giant and Safeway cards, please see the next page (please note that Target RedCard does not allow anyone but the cardholder to register for the program).
1. Giant
- Go to giantfood.com/aplus
- Click on “Register your card” in the box on the left.
- Enter the first three digits of your last name your 12 digit Giant Bonus card number and click on “Continue to Listings”
- Enter the Bates School ID (01667) in the Express Box.
- Click “Confirm My Information”
2. Escrip – for Safeway and Credit/Debit cards
- Go to escrip.com
- Click on “my escrip” on the toolbar across the top of the page.
- Enter your user name and password (click on “forgot your password and your user name and password will be emailed to you.
- Click on “Register grocery/community cards”
- Any cards you have registered in previous years will be listed on the next screen. Enter any new cards Simply click on “update.”
- Make sure Bates Middle School appears under “Group Selection.” If it does not, click on “Group Selection” and enter the school ID number: 6643571
- On this page you can also register your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover as well as debit cards to earn even more money for our school!!
- Once you have entered all your card information, click on “sign off”.
3. Target REDcard
- Go to target.com/redcard
- Click on “Take Charge of Education”
- Click on “Enroll in Take Charge of Education”
- Enter the Bates Target School ID # - 57334
- Enter your REDcard information.
