with the Principal - 8:15 am in the
Bates Media Center. Come and ask a question or listen to the interesting
discussion.

Quarterly
Arts Showcase during the school day - There will be Showcase Performances at 9:25 for 7th grade,
11:25 for 6th grade and 2:00 for 8th grade. These are really good performances
so plan on attending! In addition,
parents/guardians are invited to lunch with their students. Arts
Integration projects will be on display.

Dedication
of “Flight” sculpture - Please join the
faculty, staff, students and families of Bates, as well as artist Wendy
Cohen, for the dedication of the outdoor installation "Flight" to Dr.
Bragdon at 4:45 on Fri, April 26. This piece embodies the success in
the arts programs that thrived at Bates during her tenure. These programs continue to soar into the 21st
century. Our dance students will perform "TIME",
Dr. Bragdon's favorite dance routine. All are invited to stay for our
Multicultural festival immediately following.

5K Packet Pickup 4-7
pm at Bates Middle School - Register NOW on www.active.com type in "Bates" in the search field,
and then select our race to register. On site registration is also
available. Cost: $25 for runners 18 and under. $30 for runners 19
and older. Free for all Bates students! The race is Sat, April 27th at 8 am at
the Bates track.

5-8 pm at Bates.

5-7 pm Activities and
Food - Join us for activities and international food tastings in the cafeteria
and 1st floor classrooms! There will be an instrument Petting Zoo, Global
Arts and Crafts Activities, as well as the International Food Tasting!

5-6 pm Parent/Teacher
vs. Student Soccer Game - Head out back to the Track field behind the school to
watch and/or participate in the game! Please contact Mr. Wasserman
