French update. Heather MacIntosh and some other
parents met with Dr McMann and Jen Hernandez. At this time 2 choices
offered to add French. Both cost extra money. AACC can offer
a tues/thurs night class during school year. Students will need to
test into French 2 for high school. Students will receive College
Credit – not HS credit. The second option is to use a virtual
learning program such as “Florida Virtual” during class time. No HS
credit but could test into French 2. Email heather if have
interest. (Note: If your student decides to pursue IB in the high
school, they have to remain in the language they are taking in 8th grade
throughout highschool – 5 years of a foreign language are required for IB)
