Boys & Girls Club After School Care

I have had several comments on the post regarding After School Child Care, so I feel I should publish as an "addendum" to the survey request regarding After Care Programs that the Boys & Girls Club that is within walking distance of Bates does offer after school care.  Our Bates Librarian Becki Hutchison best sums it up in her email:

Please know that the Boys and Girls Club is within walking distance to the school, costs $20 FOR THE YEAR (seriously), and offers math and science tutoring, a robotics program, and a complete, hot meal each night. The recreation (full gym), citizenship and education programs are all good there, too.

There may be demand for an "on campus" Recs & Parks program in addition to this, but just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of the Boys & Girls Club resource...
