Thanks to all of you who came out in great numbers to the Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction for the Arts last Friday. Turn out was over double last year (~400 tickets sold) and the funds raised appear to be over double as well (over $5,000)! Special thanks to Barb Dove & Mr. Puckett who were the chairs, as well as their awesome committee: Heidi Petras, Mary Grace Gallagher, June Dwyer, Janice Krasnow, Kathleen Broman, Julie Ball, and Judy Poyer (I hope I didn't forget anyone!). We also appreciate everyone who took a turn serving pasta, taking tickets, and helping to clean up. It was an awesome team effort!
Special thanks also to the companies who gave food donations that made dinner possible, particularly Main Ingredient (the cooking and the awesome cakes!), Graul's (beef), Bertucci's and Great Harvest (rolls), Annapolis Produce (romaine), Little Havana (tomato products), and Vocelli's Pizza (dry pasta). If you have the opportunity, please let these companies know that the Bates community appreciates them! They are too many to mention by name, but if you remember any of the local companies who donated Silent Auction items, please be sure to thank them too if you frequent them. Apparently many organizations ask for Silent Auction items, so let them know that a donation to Bates is worthwhile for them!
Shifting gears, Ms. Corona also asked me to send out the following "thank you" for the PTA help with the Honor Roll Celebrations:
Thank you to everyone who volunteered with the Honor Roll Party last week! The students seemed to really enjoy themselves. It’s great to watch them having fun…just being kids. A special thanks to Stacey Hooper who has gone out of her way to help organize both parties!!
