Annapolis High School Spring Musical

The Annapolis High School Drama Company is excited to collaborate with the Performing and Visual Arts Magnet Program on the 2013 Spring Musical, Working on March 8,9,15,16 at 7 pm and March 10 and 17 at 2 pm.

Working is a musical based off of a book by Studs Terkel, which was adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso. The book is a collection of interviews, done by Terkel, with American workers in the 1970s.  Working paints a picture of the men and women we often take for granted; the school teacher, the waitress, the delivery guy and the flight attendant, just to name a few. This new version of Working  is a musical exploration of 26 people from all walks of life. While most of the professions have been updated to fit the jobs of America today, the strength of the show is in the core truths that transcend specific professions. The key is how people’s relationships to their work ultimately reveal key aspects of their humanity.

Tickets are currently available for presale - 5 for students and $10 for adults. Senior Citizens will receive a $5 discount at both Sunday shows!  For tickets, check www.annapolishighschool.org or email Mr. Tripp Murphy ataemurphy2@aacps.org.
