budget reductions based on reduced incoming funds. If we have extra money
over the next few months, we will meet again to add back to the budget. Motion

Principals Report
Mr. DeRoo spoke about the
“Testing Season.” Students have MSA math this week. Science will
take place April 9 and 10 for 8th grade only. Bates students have
represented as well at both History Day and the County Science Fair.
Kudos to those students and their parents for their support! Looking
ahead to next year, the county is project 825 studentsfor next year (compared
to 750 this year). We have requested portables but were denied.
Recently staff have been holding “Chat and Chews” in various community centers
such as the Stanton Center and Boys and Girls Club. This spring there
will be an event for art work in honor of Dr. Bragdon. Thanks to PTA for
all you do.
